The building and properties have design features that support a stay put policy, including the layout and structure of internal walls, the double breeze-block layer in the outer walls, the windows, and the property front doors.
Be aware there are no audible fire or smoke alarms in the communal areas of the building. Smoke detectors are silent and act to open the vent windows.
No barbecues or other high fire risk items are permitted to be stored or used on the balconies.
Please note that it's important no changes are made to the structures listed above without express consent from the Managing Agent and, where relevant, a License to Alter.
The balcony design also has important safety features which impact the building safety rating, which can affect building insurance and the ability to secure a mortgage for sale. It is therefore essential that no changes, including decoration, are made to the balconies.
